Rotary club Durbarmarg   conducted a plantation project at Kavre district, Madan Deupur Rural Municipality ward number 10 and 12, on 23 July, 2022 in collaboration with Rotaract club of Durbargmarg, Rotaract club of Mountennering Kathmandu, Mandan Deupur Agroforestry Resource Centre and Office of Mandan Deupur Municipality.  Rotarians, Rotaractors of both the clubs and the elected representative of local government and EcoHimal was participated in the program.  Bio-intensive plantation technique, bio-fencing and importance of plantation for climate change adaptation has been shared to the participants and community. The program was inaugurated by MDM Mayor Mr. Tok Bahadur Wiba as chief guest.  The deputy Mayor Bishnu Mani Nepal, former ward chair and ward members were presented in the plantation program. All together 1,264 Fruits, nuts, citrus, fodder, forage saplings were planted during the program. About 100 people including Rotarian, rotract, supporting organization, local government representative and community people were participated in the program. Financial support for plants, transportation, food and other logistics is supported by EcoHimal Nepal. Total cost of the project is NPR. 114,010.00
